Alabama

California

Central Missouri

Cincinnati-Dayton

Florida/Broward County

Illinois 
The North Shore Women Dentists Chapter of the AAWD is an active chapter with a membership of approximately 40 women dentists. The NSWD meets three times per year in the North Shore suburbs of Chicago. For more information, contact Dr. Jill Doan at drjiller@gmail.com. 

Middle Tennessee Chapter

Mississippi 
The Mississippi Chapter of the AAWD is located in Jackson, MS. The chapter works in conjunction with the student chapter at the University of Mississippi. For more information, contact Dr. Michelle Burrage Crews.

Oklahoma 
The Oklahoma Association of Women Dentists, formed in 1985, has a membership of 100 dentists and students. OAWD works in conjunction with their local student chapter at the University of Oklahoma. New Jersey 
This start-up chapter is beginning to take shape, thanks to the hard work of Chithra Durgam, DDS and Dr. Dina Jackson. Drs. Durgam and Jackson have worked very hard last year to bring the women dentists of New Jersey quality programs. Now, they need your involvement. To volunteer contact Dr. Jackson. 

New York

• Legal Guidelines for starting chapter and financials
• AAWD National Bylaws
• Sample Bylaws for your local chapter to adopt.
• Information on setting up a tax ID #, bank account and budgeting

From there, you can – (with our help):

• Set up an organizational meeting for local area dentists
• Create a local chapter name
• Elect officers
• Once you have your group together you will decide how much dues you want to charge per year for membership dues
• Decide what type meetings you would like to hold . . .
  • Social
  • Academic Dental or Non-Dental Topics
  • Combination of both
• Decide how many times a year you would like to meet . . .
  • i.e. 4 times a year; 1 or 2 social events
• Submit Officer names and contact information to AAWD Headquarters.
